These docs are in active development by the SURFKOOKZ community.
KOOKZ are digital assets. Somewhere between Top Trumps and Pokemon trading cards for Surfers. You can buy, sell and trade them. They cost real money and you can sell them for real money. Some are rarer and will be worth more.
The technical term is an NFT (Non fungible token) with a record of the asset living on a blockchain. We have chosen to use Solana because it's sexy, works like a dream and has the lowest transaction fees around.
The other thing to note is our NFT's are Dynamic. This means that they change according to real world data. As surfers we know how wave and weather conditions are always changing and your token will reflect that.
Our format is super simple:

Rarity of each token is ranked by location and Surfer.
When you mint a kookz you do not know at the time of mint what attributes you are going to get assigned to the token that you mint. The rarity of the tokens are based around different waves & surf breaks. Some surf breaks are world famous and will make them rarer in the collection.
Once the token has been minted it's yours and lives in you own digital wallet. You own the token and are able to keep it or sell it on a marketplace or gift it to anyone. We hope you keep at least one kookz token in your wallet as the token will also double up as a membership to our SurfClub.
SurfClub is a token holder only club where we will be showering you with some exclusive product and experiences from us and our brand partners. It's basically the coolest private members club in the world if you are a surf nut.
